Beginning on November 2, Etsy will display a new page focused solely on holiday shoppers looking for deals.
This will be a curated list of items that will feature on-sale items and will start November 2, 2020.
As an Etsy seller, you must follow the following guidelines in order to be considered for this list:
- Run a sale for at least 20% off on your listings;
- Ship worldwide;
- Offer free shipping and
- Follow Etsy’s best practices.
If you’re familiar with Etsy’s Cyber Week Sales event, you might wonder if this will still happen and yes, it will.
According to Etsy, “by scheduling your sale through December 2, you’ll likely reach Cyber shoppers too.”
Etsy offers some tips to follow:
- Make sure your processing times are up to date and that you have your shipping profile filled out completely.
- Turn on the gift wrap option and offer this to your customers.
- Use videos in your listings.
There’s no guarantee that even if you follow these guidelines by Etsy that you’ll be included in either sale, but it would seemingly increase the likelihood.
Important Items to Remember
The suggestions that Etsy gives of free shipping and gift wrapping will cost you money. So it’s important to remember to price your items accordingly to include the additional fees you’ll be charged. AND, according to Etsy, the only way to be included in this sale, is to offer these items.
Remember, Etsy will charge you fees on shipping even if you offer free shipping and Etsy will also charge you fees on your gift-wrapping services.
